Katy and Ollie are like 99% of us - not sure at all about having their photograph taken!  So we decided it would be a good idea to go for a stroll in Sutton park, get to know each other and let them get used to being trailed by a camera before their wedding day.  Apparently they have shared all the funny 'outtakes' with friends and family (I love this!) But just to reassure everyone here are my favourite ones that aren't quite as crazy.... ok so a few of my fave funny looks have snuck in..... I couldn't quite resitst!  If you speak to Katy nicely I'm sure she'll show you the rest To View More >>

As some of you will know my first career before photography was producing and directing documentaries and factual  television so when one of my fave programes 'Countryfile' asked me to follow them for a couple of days and capture behind the scenes photographs of their team at work I was thrilled! I still have super fond memories of (the one and only) John Craven having a cuppa in my kitchen before I drove him off to location.  I can still see my (usually very composed) hubby's face as John introduced himself  'Hello I'm John, John Craven' - the hubster just looked wide eyed To View More >>

"We wanted an alternative to the typical 1st birthday photo shoots and wanted honest, true and natural photos of her and us as a family to document the day. . . and the results are stunning. We were slightly nervous about having someone taking photos of us on our little family day out but we need not have worried at all as we hardly noticed she was there really. Honestly can not recommend or thank Kate enough. A true professional skilled in her line of work" When Vicky messaged me and asked if I'd join them at Ash End house Farm for a birthday day out I leapt at the opportunity! This year it's To View More >>

As we  begin to canter through 2019 I just want to say a massive thank you to all the brides and grooms that have welcomed me into their lives and trusted me to document their weddings in 2018. I’ve had THE best time with your fabulous families and a few firsts this year; a Hindu ceremony, sheep cakes, dogs as flower bearers, kickboxing grooms and jäger bomb dominoes! Plus there’s been the usual things I love about your days; wonderful speeches, many tears, much laughter and a bunch of awesome party people! Here’s a little round up of some of my highlights. I did a video To View More >>

Me: "Would you like an engagement shoot?" Gemma (emphatically): "NO!" Andrew (quietly): "Yes..I think we should" ...and so a date was set. Engagement shoots - I love them and will do anything to persuade a couple to take a stroll with me. Why?  Simply because they are a great way for us to get to know each other better and for me to see what you do and don't like.  What makes you chuckle, what common interests we have and how I can make you relax in photos to ensure we get the most natural, best photos possible on your big day. Andrew was right to insist we did the shoot - and I know To View More >>

Shoes, it's all about the shoes...or the dress, yes that's it.  It's all about the dress...hmmm, maybe it's the hair....or....the make up? Nah, none of those. It's the girl.  The girl and the shine within.  Everytime.  Be it prom, wedding, christening, birthday, first communion.  It's the people, their smiles, the light.  Simple. Here are a few snaps of a beautiful young lady and her friends saying goodbye to GCSE's, hello brave new world. To View More >>

What a fantastic day - I was blown away by the detail that Lauren and Chris had thought about.  A photographers dream! In a twist on an old idea Lauren had sneakily booked a gorgeous VW Camper van from Moonstruck to bring Chris to the venue.  The wedding venue; The Moat house in Acton Trussell is  simply stunning and with the wisteria out and the sun shining we were able to use this backdrop to good effect. Our only small problem was the one uninvited guest...a very territorial male swan guarding his good lady and nest of eggs.  Apparently she has now had the cygnets so To View More >>

So when a groom to be has to be dragged along by his bride and his mother in law to the engagement shoot - you could be fooled into thinking it's going to be painful...do you know what though? If I had a penny for every time this happens and then the groom to be knocks it out the park - I'd be rich! Here's the thing - engagement shoots are to help the photographer get to know you, what makes you relax, what angles are good for you and most importantly for YOU to get to know the photographer!  The camera and person behind it are going to be hanging out with you, your family and friends for To View More >>
